Hylozoic/Desires, or h/d, comprises Himali Singh Soin & David Soin Tappeser, a multimedia poet-musician duo that invites visitors to think through ecological loss and the loss of home, seeking shelter somewhere in the radicality of love in their immersive audio-visual environment.
Given the difficulty of connecting to the power grid in a desert environment, Desert X tapped us to support on creating a renewable energy based microgrid that would allow the audio artistry to flow without interruption from loud, polluting gas generators.
We delivered an energy system with automated cooling and remote management access, allowing us to control, monitor and pull data from the system in real-time over the course of two months.
